Manager – Procurement
job description  :  Sri Lanka project and the positioning would be in COLOMBO. The candidate with technical and real estate background would be highly preferred.

Qualification: MBA operation/B-Tech

Experience: 10 to 18 years/Defense retired preferred. 
Age: 35 to 40 years 
Industry: Real Estate/Engineering Technical/Construction preferred
Salary No constraint for a suitable candidate
Local Sri Lankan may also do or Indian who are willing to relocate to Sri Lanka.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the setting up the procurement systems on the project, establishing relationships with suppliers, rnonoqernent of a smell teornzmd, 9@nemlly eliminating inefficiencies-rrilhe purchasing process.
• Identifying suitable vendors and prepare vendor list for the project, responsible for the purchasing process such as plan, organize & control the purchase activities from local and foreign sources in order to achieve the set targets and commitments.
• Issue purchase orders, prepare work order contracts, issue dispatch instructions, coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries of material at site. Select shipping lines and control logistics for timely procurement at optimum cost to the organization.
• Manage maintenance of supplier database with suppliers rating and identify the best and the right supplier(s) to get the suitable quality, best prices, quantity, discount and best services to save procurement time and money. Ensure timely supply of right quality and quantity of material within the estimated cost and schedule period.
• Manage issues related to invoice amount differences I credit notes I short supplies with the suppliers.
• Selection I Evaluation IRe-evaluation & Authorization of suppliers in line with the chart of authority. Ensure the appropriate terms and conditions are applied in order to best allocate, manage, and control risk.
• Develop market for the new and alternative procurement sources and appraise relevant departments in order to minimize the purchasing cost and the cost of project.
• Provide information to Contract, Technical, planning & Construction divisions regarding purchasing items, landed cost, delivery schedule etc. as and when required. Coordinate with Quality management team on material testing and acceptance task. Coordinate with Finance Department for opening of L/C, timely payments, retirements of L/C and other allied matters.
• Be responsible for inventory management & Stores control.
• Willing to go through the governments` security process and gain a suitable level of clearance.
• Any other ad-hoc assignment from the superior authority.
